We suggest to our guests who are coming up from west of the Hudson River to stay on the west side of the Hudson and cross on Interstate 90. To do so, follow the New York Thruway to I 90 eastbound (which becomes the Mass Pike). Then, simply follow the directions "From the West" below.

From the North

I 91 south to Massachusetts exit 18.
Left onto Route 5 North (Pleasant St.).
The Best Western Northampton is a quarter mile on your left.
The Hotel Northampton is in the center of town just past the first traffic light on your left, roughly one mile from the exit.
The Autumn Inn can be reached by turning left at the traffic light in the center of town onto Main Street/Route 9. Staying on Route 9 for roughly 1 mile, you will pass the Smith College campus and the hotel will be on your right.


From the South

I 91 north to Massachusetts exit 18.
Left onto Route 5 north (Pleasant St.).
The Best Western Northampton is a quarter mile on your left.
The Hotel Northampton is in the center of town just past the first traffic light on your left, roughly one mile from the exit.
The Autumn Inn can be reached by turning left at the traffic light in the center of town onto Main Street/Route 9. Staying on Route 9 for roughly 1 mile, you will pass the Smith College campus and the hotel will be on your right.


From the East

I 90 (Mass Pike) west to exit 4.
I 91 north to Massachusetts exit 18.
